Food Safety

McCain Foods USA, Inc. is committed to the production of high quality products that consistently meet or exceed our customer requirements, and to the elimination of all food safety hazards. We manufacture a broad range of potato and snack products under inspection of the United States Department of Agriculture, the Food and Drug Administration, and other state/local agencies. Our plants are routinely evaluated by third party auditors which includes, but is not limited to, Silliker, AIB, Cook and Thurber, and other customer specific audits.

We are, and will remain, compliant with federal statutory and regulatory requirements, including the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act with all its amendments. We are, and will remain, compliant with other state/local obligations. McCain Foods USA, Inc. has developed an active Regulatory Department which maintains routine contact with industry partners and relevant trade associations to increase awareness of governmental expectations as well as industry best practices.

All potato and snack products manufactured by McCain Foods USA, Inc. are produced and distributed in accordance with our Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan, incorporating all aspects of food safety consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices. These plans and practices meet or exceed all applicable Federal and State regulations. McCain Foods USA, Inc. also has in place an overall Food Safety program, a Food Defense plan, and a Supplier Qualification Program.
