McCain Foods USA, Inc. places a good deal of importance on the well being of its employees. This is demonstrated by the competitive and comprehensive benefit programs offered to its employees and their families. The McCain health plan offers coverage for medical, prescription drugs, dental, vision, group life insurance, short-term & long-term disability, and flexible spending account.

Retirement Plan

McCain offers a two-part Retirement Plan with a wide choice of investment options to help employees save money and earn a benefit for retirement. The McCain Retirement Plan includes both an Automatic Core Plan provision and a Voluntary 401(k) Plan provision. The Automatic Core Plan requires employees to contribute 3%. The Voluntary 401(k) allows employees to contribute 1%-50% of earnings. In total, McCain will match an employee’s contribution $1 for $1 up to 6%.

Health & Wellness

McCain has a global employee health & wellness program: McCain in Motion. We’ve been a leader in this area and our efforts have been recognized by organizations such as the American Heart Association. Today, all U.S. locations are tobacco-free. Incentives are available to employees who make healthy lifestyle choices. Some of our locations have onsite fitness facilities and health-based classes. All encourage healthy lifestyles through various programs and activities throughout the year.

Work / Life Benefits

McCain offers its employees paid time off each year to give employees the time off they need. Paid Time Off is earned on a monthly basis and employees, depending on their hire, may be able to earn a maximum of 18 days during their first year of service. McCain employees enjoy 10 paid holidays each year.
