Our commitment to workplace diversity reinforces the tenets of our
Growing Together corporate strategy, allowing us to focus our workforce
efforts on attracting and retaining talented employees, as well as developing
them into company leaders. Having a diverse pool of employees means we benefit
from the distinctive approaches, insights and experiences that come from people
of different backgrounds. It gives us the insight and creativity we need to
deliver innovation in our products and business solutions.
In order to execute this strategy in the best possible way, McCain Foods USA
created the McCain Diversity Advisory Committee (MDAC), which will focus on the
development of initiatives that will enhance diversity within McCain, and by
extension, throughout McCain’s supplier and partner network.
MDAC members will provide feedback on best practices for supplier and
workplace diversity initiatives, lead focus groups, organize one major event per
year and help communicate excitement about new diversity initiatives throughout
the McCain business.
They are also tasked with a host of responsibilities designed to integrate
diversity into day-to-day business. In addition to generating new ideas,
planning annual events and communicating with peers, members of the MDAC will
serve as agents of change.
